egyáltalán a szóbanforgó intézményt valamilyen rangsorban?) Akik ilyeneket
állítanak, azok vagy nem jártak magyar egyetemre, vagy adják vissza
értéktelen diplomájukat, vagy szégyelljék magukat a szinvonaltalan
oktatási-kutatási tevékenyégükért!

ELTE:
Set up in 1634, Eötvös Loránd University is the oldest and largest university
in Hungary. Eötvös Loránd is also one of the most respected higher education
institutions in Hungary, and it offers a wide range of subjects in law,
political sciences, humanities, social sciences, informatics, science,
education and psychology and nursery studies. The university is also the
largest scientific establishment in the country. All degrees offer some
courses in English. The university campus spans across Budapest, so potential
students have access to all cultural events in the buzzing city. Eötvös
Loránd is also home to the first Hungarian Botanical Garden founded in 1771,
the Biological and Paleontological Museum, the Mineral and Rock Collection,
the Nature Reserve and Open Air Geological Museum of Tata and the Gothard
Astrophysical Observatory. In addition, the campus offers sports such as
athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, futsal, handball, hiking,
indoor climbing, martial arts, rugby, orienteering, table tennis, tennis,
triathlon, volleyball, and water polo. Students can also join the
university’s choir, chamber orchestra and the folk dance ensemble performing
dances from different ethnicities around the Carpathian Basin. The
educational establishment’s notable alumni include five Noble laureats -
Harsányi János (Economics, 1994), Hevesy György (Medicine, 1961), Albert
Szent-Györgyi (Chemistry, 1943), Albert Szent-Györgyi (Medicine, for the
discovery of Vitamin C, 1937) and Lénárd Fülöp (Physics, 1905). Hungarian
philosopher Ágnes Heller, Distinguished Professor in Information Studies
Christine L. Borgman, novelist Péter Esterházy, neuro-scientist Tamás Freund,
Van H. Vu, mathematician, Percey F. Smith Professor of Mathematics at Yale
University, Romanian politician Iuliu Maniu, UN diplomat Gyorgy Busztin and
Director of the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe

CEU
Central European University (CEU) is an English-language university based in
Budapest founded in 1991 by a group of visionary intellectuals – most of them
prominent members of the anti-totalitarian democratic opposition. Accredited
in the United States and Hungary, the CEU offers degrees in the social
sciences, humanities, law, public policy, business management, environmental
science, and mathematics. It is considered to be an important university in
Central Europe for social sciences and humanities. Located in the heart of
Central Europe – Budapest, Hungary – students can enjoy historical, cultural,
and social diversity within a thriving capital. CEU occupies several
buildings in a vibrant downtown neighbourhood just a few minutes from the
Danube. CEU students come from over 100 countries across five continents
meaning that there is no predominant national majority. This unique
characteristic of the university is one of the most appealing aspects of
student life. The library at CEU has an impressive on-site and digital
collection particularly in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The
library contains more than 255,000 documents in various formats and includes

Day Ice Skating Party and the Danube Regatta. CEU also actively encourages
and supports students offering a variety of interests and activities from
chess and basketball to film and literature. Notable alumni include Srđan
Cvijić, a Serbian political scientist, Ilir Dugoolli, the Ambassador of the
Republic of Kosovo to Norway, and József Berényi, Chairman of the Party of
the Hungarian Coalition.
