Tenure track assistant professorship

The Institute for Theoretical Physics within the Institute of Physics at 
Eotvos Lorand University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant 
professor position in theoretical physics.  The duration of the contract 
is five years, with the possibility of granting tenure at the end of that 
period, depending on the performance of the applicant.  The main research 
focus of the Institute is theoretical particle physics, string theory, and 
statistical and nonlinear physics (including environmental aspects). See

candidates who plan to pursue research in the above fields.

We are looking for candidates with strong track record in research, 
teaching and grant applications.  Candidates shall already have a 
(preferably international) postdoctoral experience.  Teaching 
opportunities and duties will include theoretical physics courses for MSc 
students.  The guaranteed gross salary is calculated according to 
Hungarian government regulations but can be increased through various 
research grants.  For outstanding applicants who already have habilitation 
a quick promotion to associate professor level will be possible.
