Kivonat:
Recent advances in the generation of sub-femtosecond laser pulses have opened 
up unprecedented opportunities  for the real-time observation of the 
electronic quantum dynamics in atoms, molecules and solids. A new subfield of 
physics, attosecond physics, has emerged. In this talk I will highlight 
recent advances as well as challenges ahead and point to future directions 
this exciting field may take.
