Abstract:

CPT invariance is a basic principle of field theory stating the
equivalence of matter and antimatter. CERN has built a special facility,
the Antiproton Decelerator (AD) to test this symmetry with slow
antiprotons. The main goal of its three experiments, ATHENA, ATRAP and
ASACUSA is to create and study antihydrogen, the bound state of an
antiproton and a positron. After a brief introduction by D. Horvath the
representatives of the three experiments will present motivations,
methods, progress reports and future aims.
