phenomena that resemble optical interference and this gives opportunity to
rediscover ideas from optical computing and implement them in chip-scale
devices. In this talk, I survey our work on the computing application of spin
waves for building neuromorphic computing units and radio-frequency
components. Focus will be on inverse design, where machine-learning methods
are used to engineer the device. We argue that magnonic (spin-wave) devices
could be a real alternative to electronic processing where low-power,
