Dear Colleagues,

This week (June 12-17) Konkoly Observatory organizes the 11th VLTI School
(https://vltischool2023.konkoly.hu/). As part of the programme, we will have
7 science talks, covering different fields of modern astrophysics where
infrared interferometry plays a significant role. One of the talks is of
special importance: Frank Eisenhauer, winner of the Gruber Prize in Cosmology
2022, member of the group who observed the Galactic Centre (a result for
which the leaders of the experiment won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2020)
will summarize their observations of the Galactic Centre.

The talks are distributed over the week as follows:

June 12, Monday, 16:30 - 17:30 Tyler Gardner: Interferometric observations
of binary stars
June 12, Monday, 17:30 - 18:30 Mathias Nowak: Exoplanet research with
interferometry

June 13, Tuesday, 09:00 - 10:00 Konrad Tristram: Active Galactic Nuclei
June 13, Tuesday, 17:30 - 18:30 Alexis Matter - József Varga: Low-mass star
formation

June 14, Wednesday, 14:30 - 15:30 Evgenia Koumpia: High-mass Young Stellar
Objects seen with interferometers
June 14, Wednesday, 16:00 - 17:00 Claire Lykou: Evolved stars with
interferometry

June 16, Friday, 17:00 - 18:30 Frank Eisenhauer: The black hole at the
centre of the Milky Way

The talks could be followed via zoom, at the following address:
