Dear Students and Colleagues,

This is the final announcement of "QDrive Budapest", a 3-day workshop on
the basics of quantum computing and quantum programming.

Date: July 3-5 (Wed-Fri), 2019
Location: Eötvös University, Faculty of Science, 1117 Budapest, Pázmány
Péter sétány 1/A
Application deadline: June 7, 2019

What is a quantum computer, what can it do, how does it work?
How can I write my own programs and run them on IBM's quantum computer?

If you wonder about these questions, are not afraid of a bit of linear
algebra, a touch of quantum physics, and have some experience with python,
this 3-day free workshop at Eötvös University by QLatvia could be for you!
The workshop is part of QDrive, with classes given in English by Latvian
quantum computer scientists, and is hosted by the Eötvös University
Budapest, with local support from the Budapest University of Technology and
Economics and the Wigner Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of
Sciences. The material consists of 40 Jupyter notebooks, each of which has
2-5 tasks to be completed by the participants, with Qiskit as the main
library to execute quantum programs. Before the workshop, the first 12
notebooks will be shared with the participants for testing their systems,
reviewing the basics of Python, vectors, matrices, and basic operations on
them. Each participant should install Anaconda and Qiskit in his or her
computer, and then test his or her system.

More details and application form on the website of the QDrive Budapest
workshop:

Please apply to the workshop until June 7 by filling out the online
application form. There is no registration fee for this event, but the
number of attendees is limited. Acceptance to the workshop will be
announced on June 14. If you have questions, contact us at
