Subject: Granada Summer School on Quantum Matter Out of Equilibrium
Dear colleague,
We would like to draw your attention to our "Summer School on Quantum Matter out
of Equilibrium" which will be held in Granada
(Spain) from August 27th to 31st 2017.
This is the 4th time after 2011, 2013 and 2015 that this event takes place.
It has always been a great success and we hope that
it will also be the case this time. To this end, we have compiled an
attractive programme: We have invited experts that will
lecture on experimental and theoretical aspects of classical and quantum
non-equilibrium which span the broad spectrum from
glassy relaxation to open quantum systems and thermalisation.
This year's lecturers are
- Igor Ferrier-Barbut (University of Stuttgart)
- Andrea Gambassi (SISSA, Trieste)
- Jonathan Home (ETH Zurich)
- Klaus Mølmer (Aarhus University)
and we also count with invited talks from
- Juan P. Garrahan (University of Nottingham)
- Daniel Manzano (University of Granada)
- Silke Weinfurtner (University of Nottingham)
The series of lectures is complemented by selected contributed talks of
participants and a poster session. We aim at addressing
PhD students and early postdocs and we hope that you will encourage the
relevant people of your group to apply.
The registration is now open and the corresponding form can be accessed under
www.granada-summer-school.com . This webpage also
contains information on accommodation as well as registration fees, which are
this year 400 EUR. Note that this fee already
includes the cost of accommodation, lunches, the reception cocktail and the
conference dinner.
Note that the registration deadline is May 19th.
Again, we encourage PhD students and early postdocs to apply and look forward
to welcoming them in the beautiful city of
Granada.
