                "The 4-dimensional Poincaré map
           for the stellar dynamics in a galaxy model"


Hamiltonian systems with 3 degrees of freedom are equivalent to Poincaré maps 
on
a 4-dimensional domain. Partially integrable limiting cases and 2-dimensional
invariant surfaces in their domain help to understand these maps. These ideas
are applied to the example of the stellar dynamics in a galaxy model.
