       „In-situ annealing characterization of SPD-deformed materials 
                        by synchrotron radiation” 

   Several materials (Cu, Ni, Ta, Hf, Co) have been deformed by high pressure
torsion (HPT) at different amounts of the hydrostatic to different torsional
strains up to 250. A self constructed chamber for the application of
protection gas or vacuum annealing has been installed at the High Energy
Material Science (HEMS) beamline at PETRA III/HASLAB, Hamburg. The annealing
behaviour from liquid nitrogen temperature up to 520°C has been investigated
by X-ray diffraction with a resolution of 5°C and quantified by application of
X-ray line profile analysis.
