Cím:     Polarized Imaging Nephelometer for Field and
Aircraft Measurements of Aerosol Phase Function

Rövid kivonat: At the Laboratory for Aerosols, Clouds and Optics LACO) 
at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County we have developed a new 
technique to directly measure the aerosol phase function and the degree 
of linear polarization of the scattered light. We  designed and built a 
portable instrument called the Polarized Imaging Nephelometer (PI-Neph). 
The PI-Neph was successfully flown on dozens of  flights as a part of 
the NASA  Development and Evaluation of satellite ValidatiOn Tools by 
Experimenters (DEVOTE) project
and the Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry  (DC3) project.
