Abstract:
This talk will start by summarizing the main results in the 80's and
90's that led to the field of Critical Phenomena in Gravitational
Collapse. We shall then describe the current basic phenomenological
model of the theory and enumerate some of the most important open
questions and current areas of activity, focusing especially on
those problems deviating from spherical symmetry.
