Abstract:
The cluster we consider is a model of an experiment on dusty plasma with
Coulomb interacting particles, or colloidal systems with magnetic dipole
interaction in a circular cavity far from equilibrium. We will discuss
strategies based on numerical simulations to calculate the dissipated work by
estimating the phase-space densities of the systems at different time
instances. The dissipated work is obtained by a refinement of the Jarzynski
Crooks theorem relating the phase-space density to the dissipated work.
Phase-space sampling strategies are obtained in order to make above theorem
accessible in an experimental set-up.
