First information

Conference focus

The Conference, designed primarily for doctoral and post-doctoral 
students and young scientific workers, is held (for the seventh time 
this year) every two years, alternating with the JUNIOR EUROMAT meetings 
of young scientists in Lausanne. Its main goal is to provide an 
opportunity for students and doctoral students, supervisors of doctoral 
studies programmes and other experts from science & research 
establishments, universities and industries who work in the area of 
materials science and engineering to come together, present the results 
of their work and exchange experience. The Conference has traditionally 
been organized as an international, Czech - Slovak - Polish event. This 
year for the first time, young scientists from other European countries 
will also be invited to attend.

The campus of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University 
of Technology

Organizational structure of the Conference

The Conference traditionally takes the form of invited lectures that 
introduce individual sections, selected lectures, and poster 
presentations. Those interested in participating can register their 
contributions in the five main sections given below. If need be 
(depending on the content of the papers submitted) the sections can be 
subdivided

   * Experimental methods
   * Metallic materials
   * Non-metallic materials
   * Composite materials
   * Technologies (this will be specified according to papers submitted)

Publication of presentations

All the types of presentation given above (i.e. inclusive of poster 
presentations) will be included in the Conference Proceedings, which 
will be available at the opening of the Conference.
