Cím: The future and present of space photometry.

Abstract:
For some 30 years astronomers have been arguing that photometry from space 
has an enormous potential for stellar astrophysics. But only very 
recently, the first dedicated space experiment was launched, the Canadian 
Minisatellite MOST, which presently is in it's second year of operation. 
The quality and scientific potential of the data is beyond expectation and 
shines bright light on the larger follow-up mission: the French led 
project COROT. 

I will focus in this talk on MOST results and their implications for 
COROT. The last section will be devoted to preparatory work which needs to 
be done before launch of COROT to optimize the scientific return for this 
mission.
