European Workshop on Quantum Optics in Szeged, 2002.

9TH CENTRAL-EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON QUANTUM OPTICS
3-6 May 2002, Hotel Forras,
Szeged, Hungary

Organized by the
Department of Physics of the University of Szeged and the
Laser Physics and Spectroscopy Committee of the
Hungarian Academy of Sciences
The meeting -- which is a continuation of a successful series --
is planned to offer an excellent opportunity for the exchange of knowledge
and ideas between leading scientists and young researchers in quantum
optics and related areas.
The conference will be a forum of all aspects of quantum optics,
including also matter waves, quantum informatics, and fundamentals of
quantum mechanics.
Workshop proceedings are planned to be published in a special issue of
"Fortschritte der Physik (Progress of Physics)"

The conference fee including full board and lodging, as well as all
conference materials, will be 60.000 HUF =appr. 230 EURO.
This amount assumes accomodation in a double room shared with another
participant in Hotel Forras, Szeged.

Registration starts on 1st of January 2002, by returning the registration

The deadline for submission of abstracts of contributions is
4. March, 2002.
Abstracts are restricted to one typed page. Please use plain text
format and LaTeX (TeX) for mathematical expressions. The title and names
of all authors, with addresses should be clearly displayed at the top.
The deadline for registration is
25. March, 2002.
Szeged, located on the bank of the river Tisza in South-East Hungary, is
one of the major university towns of the country. The climate is very
favourable, in the beginning of May mean temperatures are 20-25 C.
