Dear colleagues and members of the Mössbauer community,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming opening of the XIX LACAME (Latin
American Conference on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect), which will
take place from November 9th to 13th at the Institute of Physics La Plata
(IFLP) in La Plata, Argentina.

In addition to an excellent program that includes invited lectures, oral
presentations, and poster sessions, we will host two special sessions of great
relevance to our community:

• Tribute Session: A space dedicated to those who contributed to the birth and
continuity of the LACAME conferences, a forum that maintains its identity
after nearly four decades. Throughout this time, the Latin American community
has forged deep bonds that transcend the scientific technique itself. We wish
to involve not only the in-person attendees but everyone who is part of this
history in this recognition. In this session, we will have the honor of
hearing from Prof. Dr. Elisa Baggio Saitovitch, who will share memories,
experiences, and the challenges that shaped our current reality.

• Round Table on Synchrotron Radiation:
A meeting dedicated to the opportunities offered by synchrotron-based nuclear
resonant scattering techniques, in both the time and energy domains, for
studying hyperfine interactions in different isotopes and under complex
experimental conditions. Furthermore, the opportunities and challenges that
this scenario poses for the Latin American community will be discussed,
focusing both on access to these tools and the development of local capacities
to exploit them. The panel will be composed of outstanding specialists: Prof.
Dr. Ralf Röhlsberger (University of Jena / DESY, Germany), Dr. Dimitrios
Bessas (ESRF, France), and Dr. Narcizo Marques de Souza Neto (LNLS, Brazil).

Given the importance these two sessions may have for the Latin American
community, we will set up an online streaming and participation channel so
they can be followed remotely.

To organize the broadcast and facilitate online participation, we ask those
interested in attending either of these two sessions to complete the following
form(s). Those who register will receive the link to join the respective
meeting.
