Subject: Condolences on the Passing of Prof. Svetozar Musić

September 3rd, 2025

Dear Stjepko and Marijan,

Thank you for informing us of the passing of Prof. Svetozar Musić. We were
deeply shocked and heartbroken to hear this sad news, and after reading the
attached obituary, our sorrow has only deepened.

Prof. Musić was not only a distinguished colleague in the field of Mössbauer
spectroscopy but also a dear friend with whom we shared many precious
memories of international collaboration and personal camaraderie.

Prof. Musić’s contributions to Mössbauer spectroscopy and materials science,
as well as his efforts to foster international academic cooperation
(including our long-standing partnership), have left an indelible mark. His
passion for science, inexhaustible energy, and genuine kindness will be
deeply missed by all of us.

On behalf of the Mössbauer Effect Data Center and all other colleagues of the
Chinese Mössbauer society, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to
you, Prof. Musić’s family, and his entire research team. Our thoughts and
prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Prof. Svetozar Musić will remain forever in our fond memories.

Sincerely,

Professor Tao Zhang and Professor Junhu Wang
