In Memoriam Gunther Klaus Wertheim

It is with deepest sadness that the International Board on the 
Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (IBAME) announces the passing of the 
giant of the early days of Mössbauer spectroscopy


                    Professor Gunther Klaus Wertheim

                      former member of Bell Labs

                      who died on 14 July 2014.


We shall miss him. Our thoughts are with his family.
