The Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) is investigating 
the principles of energy production by fusion of light atomic nuclei. 
For the investigation of plasma-surface interaction phenomena the E2M 
division is operating a 3 MV tandem accelerator.

We are currently looking for a post-doc candidate for 2 years at 
our new TOF-RBS setup. The candidate should start ideally in 
autumn this year. 

The experiment will be used for high-resolution RBS with medium heavy 
ions on high Z materials, especially for measurements with high depth 
resolution of the enrichment of W in W-doped steels under ion 
bombardment.

We seek a candidate with good experimental skills and good knowledge 
of ion beam analysis methods. Experience with time-of-flight systems 
would be helpful, but is not absolutely necessary.
