Subject:  R-matrix school for evaluated non-Rutherford cross-sections

There will be a MINI-SCHOOL on R-Matrix theory at the University of Surrey 
(May 9-10, 2013), sponsored jointly by the Ion Beam Centre and the Nuclear 
Physics Group.

This has been organised following the appointment of Alex Gurbich to the 
Ion Beam Centre as a Leverhulme Visiting Professor.  Prof. Gurbich is the 
IAEA Liaison Officer for the ion beam analysis community, and is 
responsible for the IBANDL website (http://www-nds.iaea.org/ibandl/).  He 
is also responsible for the SigmaCalc tool (accessible on that website) 
which uses R-matrix methods to generate differential scattering 
cross-sections for the ion beam analysis community, a resource that many 
of us have found invaluable.

All are welcome to attend this Mini-School, but places are limited so 
please apply soon.
