The IBC is looking for a dynamic and outgoing individual with excellent
interpersonal and communication skills to take an active role in
liaising with the IBC’s new and existing users from academia and
industry in the field of ion beam analysis. You will be expected to take
a comprehensive role in the IBC’s expanding research activities in the
fields of ion beam analysis, archaeometry, nanotechnology and
biomedicine.

The work will involve implementing existing collaborative programmes,
and developing new programmes especially with those who are unfamiliar

with existing users and working with users on research proposals and
publications.

Ideally, you will have experience in applying MeV ion beam analysis
techniques (PIXE, RBS and related techniques) to a variety of
applications areas. Experience in industry or developing links between
industry and academia would be a distinct advantage

You should be trained to PhD level and should preferably have some
postgraduate experience either in university or in industry.
