Absztrakt:

The bandwidth of current 4G and 5G cellular networks will not be sufficient
to ensure reliable communication between the continuously increasing number
of interconnected devices that log and transmit massive amounts of real-time
data. It is expected that 6th generation (6G) telecommunication systems (to
be launched in 2030) operating in the mm-wave frequency domain could
alleviate such problems. Anyhow, to unleash the full potential of 6G
networks, reduced absorption and reflection losses at components and
well-controlled directivity of electromagnetic waves between the nods will be
essential. In this effort, we address optimization of wave propagation, by
demonstrating low-loss porous and composite dielectrics, whose permittivity
can be precisely adjusted to enable advanced substrate materials,
antireflection coatings, refractive and diffractive lenses as well as filters
suitable for mm-waves.
