1) Summer School on New Directions in Quantum Computing: Measurement-Based 
Computing and Quantum Reservoir Computing
June 2-4, 2026, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary

The QUEST consortium, led by ELTE, is organizing a summer school in June on 
non-conventional quantum computing approaches.

2) Quantum Effects in Biological Systems Workshop (QuEBS 2026)
June 3-5, 2026, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary

How and where do quantum mechanical phenomena play a functional role in 
biological systems? This workshop brings together researchers to discuss 
experimental and theoretical advances in quantum coherence, tunneling, and 
spin dynamics in biology, including processes such as photosynthetic energy 
transfer, enzymatic catalysis, and magnetoreception. The workshop will also 
explore emerging directions at the interface of quantum science and biology, 
from quantum-enhanced sensing for probing biological systems to bio-inspired 
approaches in quantum technology.

3) Defects in Solids for Quantum Technologies (DSQT2026),
June 8-12, 2026, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.

The DSQT conference series aims to bring together world-leading researchers 
in quantum science and technology based on solid-state qubits to foster 
collaboration and overcome disciplinary boundaries. It also emphasizes the 
promotion and career development of young scientists.
