Dear Colleagues,

2 full-time employment open positions (1 postdoc + 1 PhD student) are 
available at the Quantum Materials Research Group, Department of 
Theoretical Solid State Physics, HUN-REN Wigner Research Center for 
Physics, Budapest, within the NKFIH NKKP ADVANCED_25 project 
"Development of Predictive Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and 
Spectroscopy Simulation Methods for Novel Materials", where machine 
learning protocols will be mainly developed for various surface science 
problems, including magnetic surfaces and two-dimensional material 
heterostructures. The 4-years research project commences with 1 January 
2026. Renumeration is according to NKFIH NKKP ADVANCED_25 and HUN-REN 
Wigner RCP rules.

MSc and BSc research students are also encouraged to participate in this 
research project by taking part in pre-defined tasks upon mutual 
agreement, leading to a partial fulfilment of their curricula (BSc and 
MSc theses).
