ZTF classifications, anomalies, and connection with LSST

Astronomy has always been Data Driven. However, with large surveys, fast 
computational hardware, and excellent open libraries, the data driven 
approaches are being taken to a different scale altogether. We describe the 
machine learning based classification workflow for the Zwicky Transient 
Facility with the two billion sources it has observed in multiple filters. 
Classification naturally leads to the detection of anomalies. We describe 
those aspects of the work flow, and connect it with what is to come with 
Rubin/LSST.
