Az előadás rövid összefoglalója:

Combining different technologies always creates new opportunities. This also 
applies to the connection of plasmonic nanotechnology and nuclear fusion. 
Localized plasmons can condense the energy of extremely intense and short 
(fs) laser pulses into nanoscale volumes. The high electron density,the 
intense near-fields and the correlated surface electrons created on the 
plasmonic metal nanoparticles can promote the fusion of light nuclei, among 
other things by reducing the Coulomb barrier with many orders of magnitude. 
The presentation is based on optical (Raman spectroscopy, LIBS), geometric 
(crater formation), nuclear methods (CR-39) and on modeling results, to 
illustrate the observed hydrogen-deuterium and other fusion transformations, 
the crater volume increase and the appearance of a significant number of 
deuterium atoms.The results have been found at up to medium (3.1017 W/cm2) 
laser intensities. Plans, including the hopes to go to higher laser 
intensities at the ELI facilities  are also briefly described.
