Cím: Ultrafast electron processes in solid-state media
*Abstract:* In the past two years, we developed novel laboratory tools to
investigate ultrafast electron processes in solid-state systems. Our new
measurement methods include ellipsometry, electron spectroscopy, and even
a brand-new optical chip to test the waveform of femtosecond laser
pulses. With this toolkit at hand, we could demonstrate nonadiabatic
tunneling photoemission of electrons from metal nanoparticles [1], the
dynamics of hot electrons generated by light in metallic nanosystems [2]
and characterized the focal spot area of laser pulses in space and time
with an optical chip for the first time to our knowledge. In my talk, I
will give an overview of these advances in ultrafast optics research.
