Kivonat:

"Neutron scattering to develop materials for environmental, energy and biomedical applications at BCMaterials"

BCMaterials, Basque Center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures, is an autonomous research center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures was launched in June 2012. The mission of the center is to generate knowledge on the new generation of materials and turning this knowledge into (multi)functional solutions and devices for the benefit of the society. Recently, Neutron Science was established in the center to promote active application of neutron scattering techniques for nanoscale structural characterization of various materials.

During the seminar examples of structural investigation of smart and multifunctional materials for different applications will be presented, such as composites for environmental applications, polymer-based nanocomposites as separators and solid electrolytes for batteries and nanoparticles for biomedical applications. Previous cooperation and ongoing projects with the Neutron Spectroscopy Department at Budapest Neutron Center will be discussed in details.

Minden érdeklődőt szeretettel várunk.

Bottyán László
