Dear Colleagues,

Following the three BNC webinars on Li-ion batteries in June-July, the
webinar season of the Budapest Neutron Centre has continued in automn with a
series on Pulsed photon sources and their applications. Due to the
complementarities in methodology and usage these webinars will surely
attract the attention of the staff, users and collaborators of BNC, material
science, stuctural biology, laser science and application as well as neutron
science professionals.

The BNC webinars are given biweekly in English on Wednesday afternoons by
local and international experts of the respective research field. Joining
the webinars is open without registration. The presentations and discussions
are recorded an can be later viewed at https://www.bnc.hu/ including the
video recording of the last webinar by Gyula Faigel.

As a next webinar on the subject we have the exceptional opportunity to
include the presentation of Prof. Robert Feidenhans’l, Managing Director of
the European XFEL, invitee of NKFIH, the National Office for Science,
Development and Innovation of Hungary. Prof. Feidenhansl’s presentation is
entitled:

„European XFEL - A New User Facility for Fundamental Science on ultra short
timescales"

The webinar will be opened by István Szabó, vice president of the NKFIH.

sessions up to 30 minutes before the webinar start time are available in the
