Composite Higgs models on the lattice

One scenario for beyond Standard Model physics is a composite Higgs particle based on a new strongly interacting gauge sector. The main appeal of these models is that no elementary scalar field is present, the Higgs boson is a composite scalar meson, and hence the naturalness or fine tuning problem is solved. Similarly to QCD ab initio calculations can only be obtained from numerical simulations of a lattice discretized setup. I will briefly overview the various models that were studied in the recent lattice literature and give more details on a particular choice, SU(3) gauge theory with Nf=2 sextet fermions, that is perhaps the most attractive candidate at the moment.
