Abstract:
The CMS experiment at the LHC has a complete muon system, which uses several 
different technologies to trigger, identify muons and measure their momentum. 
This capacity to measure muons was critical in the discovery of the Higgs 
boson and stays very important for all searches for new physics beyond the 
Standard Model. After 10 years of operation, its performance is still very 
high. I will present first of all the status of this subsystem of CMS. I will 
also describe how this muon system will be extended during the next long 
shutdowns of the LHC. 
I will emphasize several works performed in coordination with Atomki and the 
future tasks I propose to work for Atomki.
