megkezdődött a Hamburg és Schenefeld között húzódó European XFEL 
röntgen-szabadelektronlézer egyelőre még üres két alagútjának érdemi 
kihasználásával kapcsolatos tervezőmunka. Szeretném felhívni a figyelmet 
az alábbi workshopra.

    "Shaping the Future of the European XFEL: Options for the SASE4/5 Tunnels


Dear All,

    

At the European XFEL two empty tunnels are currently available, which will 
be upgraded in the mid-term to two FEL beamlines (SASE4 and SASE5). This 
assets call for a detailed analysis of ideas for facility upgrades, both 
from technical and scientific side, which would drastically increase the 
European XFEL capabilities. We will begin this analysis with a Workshop 
aiming at presenting and discussion of nowadays existing technical 
possibilities. This technically oriented Workshop will be held at the 
European XFEL premises on 6th and 7th December 2018, with the title: 
“Shaping the Future of the European XFEL: Options for the SASE4/5 
Tunnels”. This Workshop is a first step of a complex iterative process, 
and it will be followed up next year by other Workshops dedicated to the 
scientific cases for both beamlines.
