Kedves Kollégák,

továbbítom a European XFEL-ből érkezett felhívást kírérleti pályázatok benyújtására. Magyarország a European XFEL teljes jogú tagja, így kutatóink viszonylag jó elfogadási eséllyel (és nyertes pályázatok esetén a mobilitási költségek mmegtérítésének jogával) nyújthatnak be pályázatokat. A benyújtott pályázatok elfogadásáról nemzetközi zsűri dönt a tudományos kiválóság alapján.

Elnézést kérek azoktól, akik a felhívást más úton is megkapták.

Üdvözlettel,

Nagy Dénes Lajos

3rd Call for Proposals for Early User Experiments

at the European XFEL

Deadline: Thursday 28 June 2018 12:59 (UTC/GMT +2 hours)

The European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility (European XFEL,
https://www.xfel.eu) encourages the scientific community worldwide to submit
proposals for Early User Experiments via the User Portal to the European
XFEL (UPEX) until Thursday 28 June 2018 12:59 (UTC/GMT +2 hours).

Please refer to the announcement and the full text of the call on our
homepage for details.

Beamtime will be allocated to successful proposals in November and December
2018 and from the beginning of February to the end of June 2019.

The following scientific instruments will be made available during this
period:

•           Femtosecond X-Ray Experiments (FXE) at Beamline SASE1

•           Single Particles, Clusters, and Biomolecules and Serial
Femtosecond Crystallography (SPB/SFX) at Beamline SASE1

•           High Energy Density Matter (HED) at Beamline SASE2

•           Materials Imaging and Dynamics (MID) at Beamline SASE2

•           Spectroscopy and Coherent Scattering (SCS) at Beamline SASE3

•           Small Quantum Systems (SQS) at Beamline SASE3

An instrument overview can be found here.

Proposals shall consider the specific conditions for Early User Experiments
expected for this allocation period as stated in the full text of the call.

The instruments are at different stages of advancement. Please check
carefully on this before submitting your proposal. In some cases, community
projects, initiated at early user workshops this year, are in preparation
for the SASE2 and SASE3 beamlines. Please contact the instrument scientists
for further information.

It is recommended that prospective users contact the instrument teams to
check on feasibility of the requirements of their projects for this call:
