Kivonat:
The European Spallation Source (ESS) ERIC is a joint European organisation
committed to constructing and operating the world's leading facility for
research using neutrons.
ESS is currently under construction in Lund, Sweden, and the Data Management
and Software Centre (DMSC) is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Hungary is one of the founding member countries of the consortium and MTA
Atomki is an in-kind contributor in the construction phase having the task to
develop, manufacture and commission the radiofrequency local protection
system for the medium- and high-beta section of the linear accelerator.
The representatives of ESS visit all the in-kind partners and their next stop
is Atomki.
