> The aim of this workshop is to bring together the community of future 
> users of the High Power Laser Facility at ESRF. The scientific case

> 2. To address the dynamic behaviour of matter under high strain rates
> The workshop will include presentations from experts around the world, 
> using lasers and X-rays at high power laser facilities (like LULI, 
> OMEGA, etc.) and at XFELs and synchrotrons (Spring8, SACLA, European 
> XFEL, LCLS, APS, etc.). It can be a very instructive and stimulating 
> experience for young scientists that enter this field now.

> provides Travel Bursaries for up to 20 Young Researchers to attend the
