"The Strongly Coupled Quark-Gluon-Magnetic Monopole Plasma"

Experiments with high energy heavy ion reaction at the BNL RHIC and the CERN LHC accelerators discovered two distinct properties of deconfined Quark Gluon Plasmas (QGP) produced
in collisions with center of mass energies 200-2760 Age. One is “Perfect Fluidity” of the QGP characterized by large azimuthal harmonic fluctuations that requires small viscosity to entropy ration of the QGP state of matter (eta/s ~ 0.1-0.2) close to the quantum lower bound of strongly coupled systems.
The second property jet quenchi deduced from collective flow harmonics. ng is the very opacity of QGP matter to energetic high transverse momentum jets. Jet quenching has been well predicted by our all orders in opacity theory developed by Djordjevic, Gyulassy, Levai, Vitev (DGLV) based perturbative QCD techniques. The jet transport property “qhat” is the average square transverse momentum broadening per mean free path.
Both properties are expected to be related inversely (eta/s ~ T^3/qhat). However, the qhat from our DGLV theory fit to RHIC and LHC data was found to be incompatible with eta/s when extrapolated down to pT<2 GeV. We recently propose a new theory adding nonperturbative magnetic monopole component to the QGP, as suggested by Liao-Shuryak.
Our extended new sQGMP theory [1] account well for the first time both (pT<2) eta/s ~ 0.1 as well as jet (pT>10 GeV) qhat properties of semi-quark-gluon-magnetic monopole plasma.
