Call for proposals for training events to be supported by Laserlab-Europe

Laserlab-Europe invites proposals for user training schools or training
events, to be co-organized by Laserlab-Europe under the work package Human
Resources Development, Task: Cooperation with existing training programmes.

Objectives:
* Development and training of new User communities with no or little past
experience in using lasers in their research;
* Attracting and training of new users from new scientific communities
(e.g. life sciences) in a multi-disciplinary perspective.
Examples of previous co-funded training events:
* Advanced X-ray spatial and temporal metrology (with COST action MP1203),
Croatia 2014
* LA3NET 3rd School on Laser Applications, Spain, 2014
* International School on Lasers in Materials Science ? SLIMS, Italy, 2012
* International School of Physics Enrico Fermi: Microscopy applied to
Biophotonics, Italy, 2011
* The Experimental Summer School in Linear, Nonlinear and Quantum Optics ?
STELLA, Italy, 2011
* ATTOFEL Summer School, Greece, 2011
Guidelines for proposals:

Proposals should contain the following information:
- Event title
- Proposed date(s) and place
- Name and contact information of the organizer
- Brief description of the training goals and topics and the targeted
audience
- Preliminary training format and proposed schedule
- Estimated number of participants
- Brief description of potential Laserlab involvement and benefit
- Cost estimate

* Co-funding may be up to EUR 3000.
* Deadline for proposals: 31 October 2014
* Proposals should be sent by email to
networking AT laserlab-europe.eu.
