Kivonat:
Analytical glycomics represents a toolset for comprehensive characterization 
of
complex carbohydrates including profiling, micro- and macroheterogeneity 
analysis
as well as sequencing with special respect to linkage and positional isomers.
The most frequently used analytical methods are capillary and microchip 
electrophoresis,
liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. Full structural elucidation of 
glycans
also requires enzymatic digestion by exoglycosidases. This presentation will 
cover
the state of the art of liquid phase separation methods for structural 
elucidation
of protein glycosylation for the biomedical and biopharmaceutical fields.
