[2]Reactor dome installed at Changjiang 1

The dome of the reactor containment building has been successfully lowered
into place at unit 1 at the Changjiang nuclear power plant on China's
southern island province of Hainan.

[3]Nuclear numbers down despite connections

Six new nuclear power reactors were connected to the world's electricity
grids in 2011, adding over 4000 MWe of generation capacity. Thirteen units
were closed permanently, all but one as a direct result of the accident at
Fukushima Daiichi.

[5]Spain selects site for waste storage

Villar de CaĂąas has won the right to host a storage facility for Spain's
used nuclear fuel and help fill a gap in the country's nuclear power
framework. The region will benefit from the creation of up to 500
construction jobs and then skilled work for around 60 years.

Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant has notified the country's Nuclear

Robert Willard has been selected as the next president and CEO of the
Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO). A former fighter pilot and
commander of two nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, Willard will assume his
new duties upon the retirement of the current president and CEO, Jim Ellis,
in May.
