The Web site of EPS-HEP 2011, the 2011 Europhysics Conference on High-Energy Physics
http://eps-hep2011.eu/
is now open for registration. The conference will take place on July 21-27 2011.

EPS-HEP is one of the major international conferences that review the state of our knowledge of the fundamental constituents of matter and their interactions. More than 600 physicists from all continents gather every second year to present and discuss their latest findings. For a full week, results obtained in terrestrial laboratories or through observations of the Universe are confronted with the most recent theoretical developments. Advances in particle detection and in acceleration techniques are also presented.

EPS-HEP 2011 will be the first major world conference after extensive operation of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at an energy of 7 TeV, and one of the last before the final shutdown of the Tevatron collider. Reports of new and potentially surprising observations made at other international laboratories or from programs in astroparticle physics and cosmology are also expected. With eleven parallel sessions and an extended poster display, several hundred oral and written contributions can be accommodated. The conference will also host the traditional joint ECFA-EPS open session. This year the session will take place on July 23rd and will serve as the kickoff meeting for the update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics.

The conference will be held in Grenoble, France, in the Rhône-Alpes region, host of several major research centers in fundamental and applied scientific research as well as a large and active high-energy physics community. Seven laboratories from the region are inviting you to a city with both a long history and a rich present. The hometown of Joseph Fourier at the time of his discovery of the famous transform, Grenoble has also hosted major international events such as the 1968 winter Olympics.
