Subject: EuroPhysicsFun: Uninvited contact
Dear A. Patkos,
We are sorry for this uninvited contact - but we believe that the Roland
Eotvos Physical Society could be a big help for the EuroPhysicsFun
which we would like to inform you about. This contact information has beenthe
taken from either the homepage of the Roland Eotvos Physical Society or
homepage of the European Physical Society, with whom we have a beneficialA
cooperation.
EuroPhysicsFun is a newly started international non-profit, non-commercial
organisation aiming at the following two main objectives:
1. To initiate, motivate and ease the creation of student-based
experimental outreach groups at European Universities
2. To join these and existing groups into an - to our knowledge -
unseen network of sharing and exchange of knowledge and experience.
More information regarding EuroPhysicsFun can be found on
www.EuroPhysicsFun.org <http://www.europhysicsfun.org/> .
EuroPhysicsFun has 11 member groups so far and we hope that you can direct
us to other existing activities in your country. Read how and why to join
the network at: www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/Network.
As a tool to motivate and ease the creation of such groups, EuroPhysicsFun
arranges workshops disseminating the combined experience of these groups.
workshop encompasses experimental work, communication and performancetools,
and lectures are given by didactics experts, street circus people, actorsyour
etc. We hope that the Roland Eotvos Physical Society will help spreading
the word about these workshops through your network. Registration and more
information on the upcoming workshop can be found here:
www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/Workshop.
We sincerely hope that the Roland Eotvos Physical Society will help this
grass-root organisation by adding a link to our website on your homepage,
and by informing through your magazines or newsletters.
We would welcome invitations to write articles about EuroPhysicsFun for
newsletter or magazine. See our media collection atthe
www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/News.
We also welcome invitations to perform at annual meetings and conferences
where contacts can be made to many physicists and physics students. This
year we have been invited to several different conferences and
recommendations can be sent on request. See pictures from our previous
performances on www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/Pictures. Read more on visits by a
team from EuroPhysicsFun on www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/FAQ and subscribe to
EuroPhysicsFun Newsletter at www.EuroPhysicsFun.org/Newsletter.
EuroPhysicsFun is funded by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and
Innovation, the Danish Research Council and the Villum Kann Rasmussens
Foundation (private).
Best regards
