Cím: "Emission Components in Gamma-Ray Bursts"

Abstract:
The high-energy emission from gamma-ray bursts (GRBs)
is assumed to arise in a highly relativistic outflow

from a collapsing massive progenitor star. This outflow
is at first optically thick and as it becomes transparent
it will emit as a thermal black body. In the outflow, the
kinetic energy is dissipated in either shocks or magnetic
reconnections. Non-thermal electrons then emit the energy

in the gamma-rays through synchrotron and/or inverse Compton

emission. Both the non-thermal and the photospheric emission

components are expected to visible in the gamma-ray band, with

varying strength. Another important aspect is the varying

light-travel times due to the curvature of the GRB shock

front. I will review some of the theoretical work and
observational evidence that these results are based on.
