Some Fundamental Remarks on Open Discrete Non-Equilibrium Systems

  Abstract:
  An open discrete non-equilibrium system, controlled by
  a reservoir of time-independent temperature, generalized
  forces and chemical potentials, is considered. The time
  rate of the entropy of the compound system, composed of
  the non-equilibrium system and the controlling reservoir,
  is decomposed into its internal and external part. The
  contact quantities, temperature, generalized forces and
  dynamical chemical potentials, are introduced and 
  discussed.
