Az el?ad?s kivonata:
Techniques based on the x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) effect
are powerful methods to determine details of the magnetic properties of
nano-scaled samples. I will present some examples of our recent
experiments with the high-brilliant light provided by modern synchrotron
radiation sources. Studies of the magnetization of a single ultrathin
layer in contact with a substrate and/or a capping layer will be discussed
which demonstrate the importance of interfacial effects.
