Kedves Kollégák!

Tájéloztatásul küldöm a berlini elektronmikroszkópos/anyagtudományi iskola anyagát.
Radnóczi György

The International Centre of Advanced Materials Science and Electron Microscopy is announcing the International Autumn School on

"New developments in
nanostructured materials - synthesis, characterization, functionality"

to be held between September 27th and October 1st, 2003 in Berlin-Adlershof, Germany.

This annual school is organized in order to bring together especially younger scientists (PhD students, PostDocs) from Middle/Eastern and Western Europe. They are encouraged to apply for taking part in this school. The participants have the opportunity to listen to talks of internationally approved scientists and to lively discuss with them. Moreover, there is a possibility for young scientists to present their own work in form of posters during the school.

Not only microscopists are addressed but also non-electron microscopists.

Location

The Autumn School will be held in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences I of the Humboldt University of Berlin at the new campus in Berlin-Adlershof, Newtonstrasse.

Application procedure

Scientists, especially younger ones (PhD students and PostDocs), from all over Europe are welcome and encouraged to apply. It is strongly recommended that participants present a poster at the school. Please, send your application letter to

Dr. H. Kirmse

Humboldt University of Berlin

Institute of Physics

Chair of Crystallography

Newtonstrasse 15

A fee of 60 ¬ will be charged.

Financial support

Younger scientists from Middle/Eastern European countries may receive financial support. In order to apply for, please, submit:
