Subject: A post-doc position in October 2002

A post-doc position will be available in our laboratory, starting October
2002, within the new european network "DYGLAGEMEM" (Dynamics and statics
of glasses and spin glasses: from aging to memory and equilibrium
structures). Details on this network can be found at
http://www-drecam.cea.fr/spec/Pres/Magnet/dyglagemem.html.

This position is aimed at developing experimental investigations of the
non-equilibrium dynamics in spin glasses and other disordered and/or
frustrated magnetic systems. Recent studies in our group include the
characterization of aging, rejuvenation and memory properties in spin
glasses, re-entrant ferromagnets and geometrically frustrated systems, and
magnetic noise measurements in the aging regime of a spin glass (test of
the fluctation-dissipation relation). See for instance: Dupuis V., Vincent

This position is restricted by the european rules of "Research Training
Networks" (RTN) to non-french citizens from the European Union, or non-EU
citizens having resided in an EU Member State for at least five years
immediately prior to their appointment in a network.

The candidates must not have carried out their normal activities in France
for more than 12 of the 24 months prior to their appointment. They must be
aged of 35 or less at the time of appointment, and have a doctoral degree
or equivalent. Please refer to the Web site of the European Commission for
a more extensive and exact list of conditions:
http://www.cordis.lu/improving/networks/tour3.htm .

Candidates should send a CV and the names of 1 or 2 referees at the
address below, as soon as possible, most preferably before the end of
March 2002.

Thank you for forwarding this information to other people who may be
interested.

With my best regards
