     9TH CENTRAL-EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON QUANTUM OPTICS

Organized by the
Department of Physics of the University of Szeged and the
Laser Physics and Spectroscopy Committee of the
 Hungarian Academy of Sciences

The meeting -- which is a continuation of a successful series --
is planned to offer an excellent opportunity for the exchange of knowledge
and ideas between leading scientists and young researchers in quantum optics
and related areas.
The conference will be a forum of all aspects of quantum optics,
including also matter waves, quantum informatics, and fundamentals of
quantum mechanics.

Workshop proceedings are planned to be published in a special issue of
"Fortschritte der Physik (Progress of Physics)"

The conference fee including full board and lodging, as well as all
conference materials, will be 60.000 HUF =appr. 230 EURO.

Szeged, located on the bank of the river Tisza, is one of the major
university towns of Hungary. The city center is marked by the stately
twin spires of the Roman Catholic Cathedral (Dom). The climate in the
beginning of May is very favourable, mean temperature is 20-25 C.
