Dear Colleagues,
ECT*, the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and
Related Areas, located in Trento, Italy, announces the first
ECT* DOCTORAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
as a Marie Curie Training Site, supported by the European Commission. This
programme offers a unique combination of Lecture Series, Workshop Projects
and Research opportunities to selected young researchers worldwide, pursuing
advanced doctoral studies (both theoretical and experimental) in the physics
of Hadrons and Nuclei and related fields.
This year's Doctoral Training Programme will be held from June 2002 through
October 2002 under the title:
DENSE and HOT QCD
Please see the attachment and our web site (http://www.ect.it) for further
information regarding Lecture Series and Workshops.
ECT* offers approximately ten
FELLOWSHIPS
for young researchers participating in the Training Programme, from EU
member and associate states (with the exception of Italy, as the host
country). Selected Fellows receive a monthly allowance of 1.200 Euro for a
period of 3 - 6 months and up to 100 Euro per month towards travel costs.
Applications including Curriculum Vitae and description of
academic/scientific achievements should be sent before 30 April 2002 to:
The Director
ECT*
Strada delle Tabarelle, 286
39050 Villazzano (TN)
Italy
(email:
rachel AT ect.it)
We would appreciate it if you could pass this information on to potentially
interested young researchers with high qualifications.
With best regards
Wolfram Weise
