The Technical Student Programme is aimed at undergraduate students in
technical fields, whose universities require or encourage them to spend a
training period of several months during the course of their studies in
industry or in a research establishment, or allow them to carry out a
project in such an establishment. Selected students join a team working at
CERN, and usually spend six to twelve months at the laboratory.

Field of study: Accelerator physics, computing, mathematics, electrical,
electronic, mechanical and civil engineering, geotechnics, instrumentation
for accelerators and particle physics experiments, low temperature physics
and superconductivity, materials science, radiation protection, radio
physics and radio chemistry, solid state and surface physics, ultra-high
vacuum.
